PROCESS :

Please note our fully powder coated Alloy wheel refurbishment process takes between 3 and 5 days dependent on the Alloys condition, e.g. how corroded they are, or if they need any TIG welding or buckle straightening.

Alloys are chemically dipped to remove all old paint, wheels are then checked to see if any are cracked then they can be TIG welded at customers cost, then wheels are checked for buckles and if any are found to be buckled we offer to straighten them at half our normal rate.

All Alloys are dipped in a Phosphoric acid solution to remove any corrosion, this specialist pre-treatment process is very important for the ultimate longevity of the paint coating, as this immersion dip cleans, etches, de-greases, de-oxidises and very importantly it removes any heavily ingrained corrosion, scratches, scrapes, minor kerb damage is then sanded out.

Alloys are then placed in our curing oven and heated to 230c for 20 minutes this process de-gasses the Aluminium and it will reduce popping, pinholes and micro blisters in the paints finish.

Alloys are then powder coated with primer (this high build primer seals, flats and smooths the metals surface), Alloys are then powder coated in the colour of your choice. Alloys that are being Diamond Cut are now machined and then finally all Alloys are powder coated with a premium quality exterior grade ultra clear lacquer, this durable coating doesn’t cloud or dull colours, it also gives much more protection against road salt, grit and chemicals in severe Winter weather and it protects against Summer Ultra Violet rays.
